Did you know - all our foiled cards can be recycled?

Just here to remind you about my eco credentials and the fact that FOIL CARDS ARE ALL RECYCLABLE!For real. I can *guarantee* you that you can put my cards in a recycling bin (if you don’t want to keep them forever!!).I know there can be a lot of confusion over what your council will and won’t take in terms of recycling- but luckily for you I’ve done all the research so you don’t have to!My cards are hot foil stamped. The foil itself is an incredibly thin layer of metal (much thinner than the ink on most paper!). There have been several studies done to show that this foil layer is so thin, it completely dissipates in the repulping (recycling)...
Not mass produced - and not priced like it either

Occasionally I get a well meaning comment or message telling me they my stationery is too expensive. ‘If your notebook cost £10 then id definitely buy one’ has been thrown around once or twice.Believe it or not I LOVE it. It means I get to talk about my favourite subject: pricing! So let me tell you a little story about why things cost what they do…Pretty Post branded products are ALL made in the UK. Not only are they made in the UK, they’re made by small independent companies. Some of them are just one person, some are a small team. Some have massive studios- but I know all of their first names, and I can pick up the phone and...
Why Small Business can't compete with Black Friday

Did you know that small businesses can’t compete with Black Friday sales? In recent years there has been huge pressure for tiny independent companies to keep up with expectations of slashing prices or to offer some mega deal so that they make some sales pre-Christmas, but realistically this can be catastrophic for a micro businesses. It's a relatively well known fact that big businesses price their products with sale prices built in. Offering 20%, 30% or even 40% off their products won’t do much to their bottom line- they’ll absolutely still be making a profit. Even more damaging to small businesses - behemoths such as Tesco and Amazon can easily operate with 'loss leaders' - which is literally making no profit...
Helping you get organised to reduce stress - To do list 101

It's no secret that writing things down and help you get organised, deal with daily overwhelm and stop that procrastination when you really really need to get something done. But sometimes knowing how to write it down is a bit of a mystery. I find a three pronged attack - monthly, weekly and daily, can simplify this and really help you dial down on what needs to be done. Monthly Planning It's no surprise to anyone that I do this as an analogue system - a monthly wall planner, a weekly desk planner and daily list, but it might surprise you that I make use of an online calendar too. I was 100% a handbag sized diary girl until I became...

A strange and lovely upside has come out of being away from our friends and loved ones: people are actually picking up a pen and paper and writing letters, sending cards and embracing snail mail.

Help is here! I've put together a quick guide to guide you on how you can send the perfect letter, no matter the recipient.
Come and Join the Snail Mail Gang

In these slightly strange times, taking some time to distract our minds is very welcome, and so - I’m bringing back snail mail.Let’s back to writing letters, sending cards just because, scribbling notes, tearing out clippings of magazines, sending a postcard; ultimately- stepping away from screens and distracting our minds momentarily. To encourage this to happen- and for me too- I’m setting up a letter writing gang. You can sign up, add your address and wait for some fun mail to land on your doorstep. It might be a postcard, a letter, something fun I’ve collected and want to share. Each one will be hand written and personal to you.The only caveat is that I want you to send a...
